I am 21 years of age and am extremely interested in photography, travel and fashion. I am about to start a BA in Fashion imaging and promotion, but am planning on still making trips abroad as I love taking photos more then anything whilst on trips!
There is a very cool, urban beach with two piers, one of which famously burnt down a few years ago. This is probably the best opportunity.
Probably Bangladesh.
Because I knew I was travelling to a place which not many people tend to travel to. I could tell from the few pages in the Lonely Planet guidebook that it was off of the beaten track of the travel world. This made all of my images and experiences seem a lot more exciting and new, like i was capturing something not many had done before.
The feeling of photographing something that someone may not have before. An exact moment in time never recorded before. Making picture postcards of moments in time that you can use to remember your experiences by once returning home.
Probably some of the images i took whilst in Bali, Indonesia at a festival on the beach celebrating the end of the rainy season. It was more that i was so impressed by what was happening around me and so began shooting what i saw.
There has been many occasions of which i wish i had my camera on me, i now learn to take it with me whenever i can!
For me it is when an image has not been staged. It is just a perfect alignment of several factors such as light, subject and position which creates such a great image which tells a story.
I use a Canon 400D Digital SLRi but also have a fisheye lomography camera which is fun to use also.
